1 Wash Your Eyelashes Daily
Historically, baby shampoo was recommended for cleaning the eye lids. However, recently eye doctors are now concerned about the preservatives in baby shampoo and it is no longer recommended to use when you wash your eyelids. Instead, there are many safe eyelid cleaning products available, which often have tea tree oil in them, that are a great option.

3 Wash Your Eyelashes with Agitation
Agitation and massage will help secrete oils from the meibomian glads. One product I use in my daily routine is the Nulids device. It looks like an electric toothbrush with an agitating brush that massages the eyelids. It really is working for me, and many of my patients have said the same. While the price is a bit steep, research is showing that continued use of it for 30 days is helping with increased tear breakup time and reduced evaporation.
