How to Choose Sunglasses that Are the Best for You

Finding the best sunglasses is a lot more than just finding sunglasses for your face shape, you also need to understand what lenses to choose from. Here are a few things you should keep in mind:

1. Find a sunglasses frame that fits
👉TIP: Don’t worry about finding the right sunglasses for your face shape, it is all about the attitude and “the look” you want. As long as they are not too small, they should work great.

2. Sunglasses Lens Options to consider
There are different types of materials for sunglass lenses.

🔸Cheap lenses made from polycarbonate (like the ones you can pick up at the gas station) will scratch easily.

🔸Glass lenses, such as Crown Glass, offer the best quality, are hard to scratch, and will allow you to experience true colors.

🔸For a lightweight option, try Nylon lenses. They are 40% lighter than glass lenses, are more scratch resistant, and offer better optics than polycarbonate lenses.

🔸Gradient lenses have a full tint at the top with lighter tint at the bottom for easy reading and offer full UV light protection through the whole lens.

3. Sunglasses Lens Colors
Sunglasses actually com in a variety of colors.

🔸American Grey Lenses: These are the standard sunglasses that work in virtually any condition.

🔸AGX Green Lenses: One of my personal favorites – Green sunglasses lenses enhance yellow and green colors while offering a truly relaxing experience. These soothing lenses are a great choice for golfers or those spending leisure time outdoors.

🔸Tan/Brown lenses: These lenses can slightly enhance contrast and depth perception which can be ideal on both sunny and cloudy days. Randolph calls these the “Instagram Filter” because everything just seems a little bit brighter and happier with these lenses!
